A bit about me
I am Jaison Hollis, I’m 35, living in Dallas.
Im a creative fellow and I take pride in the work I do. Here’s a summary of some work experiences…
ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
(From April, 2019 to April, 2020)
I was an in-house artist at a Pinot’s Pallet. Responsible for hosting and leading paint parties. Hosting involved welcoming folks to the space, tending to their accommodations. Leading a party involved guiding party-goers through a pre-determined painting.
BARTENDER
(From August, 2013 to April, 2019)
As a tenured bartender at Mellow Mushroom in Mckinney, it was imperative to learn to navigate interactions and relationships in a voluminous task-filled position. Creating and mixing scrumptious tasting, aesthetically pleasing libations for the enjoyment of patrons of the large restaurant.
It was essential to learn to anticipate the needs of patrons at and near the bar top, the hearth of the restaurant; as well as those of fellow coworkers and peers, efficient communication, proper prioritization of multiple tasks, and management of high intensity situations.
INDEPENDENT PAINTER
(from January 2015 to present )
Though less a job and more of a passion, painting has revealed a dream beyond dreams. Learning to surrender to the creative process, fuel the dreams we are given, teeter on the brink of chaos and destruction to coax a vision of beauty worth beholding
